Vamos should lead and dictate terms. KOYAMA (4) was an easy winner in similar company at Oamaru nearly 3 weeks ago and is likely to secure a cosy run just off the pace again from another handy draw. Dropping back to 2000m is no problem, and he can repeat the dose. PROSERVE (2) let down with a powerful finish to score by nearly a length here on the first day, and is facing a similar field here. He holds his form when fit and can threaten again. VINO VALENTINO (6) may not win often, but can't be faulted for her consistency. She fought on gamely for fourth behind the top pick on the first day, and will again be right in the finish. Each way. VAMOS (1) failed to run on in the Winter Cup on the first day over a mile and will find this grade easier, and an extra 400m more to her liking. Don't drop her. DIVINE SPIRIT (8) made the most of a good ride to score comfortably at Oamaru last time out, and will relish stepping back up to a middle distance here. Stick with her. SUGGESTED PLAY: Vamos at some each-way value.
