Solid tempo anticipated with One More Dance and Super Rosa pressing forward with Scolera not far away. KHALEESI (3) won her first 2 starts on the bounce and then was a brave fifth as a hot favourite in a very strong field at Te Rapa prior to going for a spell. She has had a recent trial, and only bad luck will beat her fresh up in this. SCOLERA (2) is a progressive mare hitting her peak at the right time. She meets a smart one here, but she can make up the quinella. IRIDESCENT (6) is a local mare who built strongly to a deserved win third up at Ellerslie 5 weeks ago, and she drops a kilo with the rise in class here. If the track gets really wet, then she can give this race a shake. NICCONI COUNTY (1) broke a long win drought when capping off some improving form with a nose victory at Ellerslie 3 weeks ago. He has measured up in this higher grade in the past, and he can figure in the top 4. ONE MORE DANCE (4) resumes from a spell and is the best of the rest. Include in top 4 combos to be safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Khaleesi should be too good.
