KOTORINO UTAU UTA (5) was resuming from a spell of three months last start when a solid second over this course and distance. Generally goes well here. Will prove tough to beat. PYTHON (1) was well in commission last start over 800m at this track when third, beaten 2 lengths. Winning rider Yoichiro Muro stays aboard. Expecting a bold showing. TAKARA BADIUS (11) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start over 1000m at Funabashi, beaten 4 lengths. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. MONTER JEWEL (3) turned in a modest performance when fourth last time out over 1200m at Funabashi, beaten 4 lengths, after a win at Kawasaki at the previous outing. Worth another chance.
