Insufficient early speed to generate more than a muddling tempo. LAVEY (6) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 0.8 lengths over 1600m at Mizusawa. That continued the solid form this campaign, with two wins and two minor placings from six starts. Big chance once again. TAIKI MONSTRE (4) travelled in a rearwards position then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 6 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1200m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Can run well. TAIKI COURAGE (1) ran above expectations and got up for third at big odds at his latest appearance at this track over 1600m. Good signs last time and is worth including. TAISEI ADAMAS (8) is capable of better than what we have seen of late.
