Just a modest pace in store without noted speed runners engaged.
VALETUDO (12) found a more suitable race last start and got the job done over this course and distance. Down in grade today and from the good gate looks a huge chance to go back-to-back. TRY EVERYTHING (6) blew the start and was never a chance in the race won by Valetudo here on 15 February. Has a good record at this trip and from a good gate today can turn things around. AFFINITY FLYER (10) did her best work late to get up for fourth when fresh from a twenty-eight-week spell over 1000m at Toowoomba recently. Better placed out to this trip and draws a lot closer so she is right in contention. VINDICTA (16) showed pace to the turn but knocked up when resuming over this journey at Doomben last start. Fitter and should offer more resistance this time. UNTOUCHABLE LEGEND (9) returned to form at the Sunshine Coast last time and this step up in trip should suit. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Valetudo.
