Solid tempo headed by Menace To Sobriety and Ambitious Creek. The former WA galloper BEACH PAD (2) is in a sharp barn and is ready to win. He's back plenty in grade off a tidy effort in a 68 in town, and the step-up to the middle distance suits. Holder is reunited and is going well. DISCREETLY BLUE (11) missed a nose here over a mile and followed with a heavily-bet near-miss at Oakbank over 1900m. That stacks right up, but an awkward barrier needs managing. Has the winkers first time applied, but note, Holder gets off. The danger. I LOVE THIS SONG (4) delivered his Maiden at this track/trip three back and hasn't had the best of luck since. Toeroek rides from a handy gate, and a better effort wouldn't be a surprise. AMBITIOUS CREEK (1) was much better over 1750m at Port Lincoln, and in January, he missed a whisker at Naracoorte over this distance. Uses the inside gate and won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Beach Pad.
