Good tempo expected with Magic Touch, Riko Jean and Sekkachi Cane rolling forward. CLAIR JACK (3) ran below expectations last time at this track over 1400m, finishing sixth. Has won six races at this course and distance from 12 tries. Expected to go very well. CHADAL KUN (8) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 1200m at this track, beaten one length. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. RIKO JEAN (15) is having his first run since February 11 2024. Has a strong record when fresh with four wins from five runs, the most recent over 1200m at this track at the start of last prep. Has found a suitable race to kick off the campaign. COSMO SONGE (7) comes here following a win over 1200m at this track three weeks ago, getting home by one length. Has solid form at this circuit with three wins and 10 minor placings from 23 starts. Deserves serious consideration.
