Reasonable tempo with Venus King probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. BEEJAY BOY (1) may need a touch of luck from the wide draw, though his form is hard to knock after a 1.1L victory in tougher company at Pinjarra last start. He does possess some good early speed, and dropping back to 1800m shouldn't be an issue. Racing well and can repeat the dose. ROMMEL'S GODDESS (6) turned in a fast late split over the mile at Ascot last time out when trying to gun down the winner, falling 0.6L short. She maps for a similar run this time and she drops in weight despite her latest effort. Right on the cusp and can go one better this time. BLAZING EMERALD (3) was too good from the front last start when beating Rommel's Goddess, sitting on the speed throughout. Suspect she'll do the same from the barrier and now gets Chris Parnham in the saddle. Can make her presence felt again. LYRICAL ANGEL (7) has winning claims after finishing behind Beejay Boy last start. SUGGESTED PLAY: Beejay Boy can bring up back-to-back wins.
