Moderate pace from Shambretta taking it up with Rodeo Dealer and Extreme Diva on his back. ALPINE SKI (5) gelded over the break and resumes from a seven-month spell. Showed a ton of potential in three career runs in his first prep and has the speed to overcome the wide draw. The one to beat. EXTREME DIVA (10) nine start maiden having her first run for the O'Shea & Charlton yard. Contested much stronger races in her last two preps and is capable of sprinting fresh with the two sharp trials. SHAMBRETTA (4) resumes from a break and now in the Kim Waugh yard. Hardly set the world alight in three career runs and since fitted with a solid 1000m trial win at Beaumont (Newcastle). Blinkers off and capable of taking a hand in the finish. REAL SASSY (8) four-year-old mare by Real Steel out of Miss Shifu on debut for the Buchanan yard. Two recent trials have been okay and gets the blinkers on. Slim place prospects. SUGGESTED PLAY: Alpine Ski to win.
