Tricky one to map with a large contingent of first starters but expect good early pressure. READY FOR ZION (11) only battled home on debut after copping a check in the home straight and would have learned a lot from her experience. She has the pole position, which should be an advantage early in the day on a heavy track. She is down in weight, and with the aid of a 2kg claim, she can figure in the finish. SENSEI'S SURPRISE (12) is making her debut and has the blinkers on for the first time. She has had a couple of trials and will be ready to run a race. Use the market as your best guide. I'M A CONDYGIRL (9) won both of her trials before weakening in the home straight on debut. A wet track is no problem and she is worth another chance. CYBER CITY (13) will be peaking third up and has each-way claims this time at a decent price. HA'PENNY HATCH (8) won a recent Gold Coast trial and looks a chance on debut. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sensei's Surprise each way.
