Small field but plenty of pace engaged, including Notabadbuy, Dalmanndi and The Years. UNUSUAL PROSPECT (10) starting to hit his straps this campaign with the two wins from his three starts. Much better effort when up to his preferred trip for a dominant victory over 2000m at Hawkesbury. Has the upside to test this average field. Can sit off them and pounce late with the blinkers going on. BRIGHT RED (9) deep into her prep and ran below expectations when a poor eighth over 1800m at Randwick in BM78 grade. Back in class and can turn things around quickly. THE YEARS (4) racing well through his grades after relishing the heavy going for a sound win over 1600m at Warwick Farm. Will roll forward again and give a ton of cheek. AIX EN PROVENCE (8) will find this more to his liking and should have little trouble stretching out to the 1900m for the first time. Will roll forward and unbeaten in the heavy conditions. SUGGESTED PLAY: Unusual Prospect to handle the class rise.
