Good early pressure anticipated with a large number of first starters. ALGORITHMIC (1) resumes for his second campaign having been pitched up in strong races in his initial campaign, an eye-catching fourth on debut in the Listed Lonhro plate behind some talented types. Fifth in the G2 VRC Sires behind subsequent G1 winner Vinrock is also excellent form for this and Shinn booked from the inside gate can see him hard to hold out late. SINGLE CHOICE (7) ran a strong race on debut at Geelong, sitting on speed and boxing on gamely for a narrow second placing. Better for that and draws for every chance. CISCO (2) is a colt by champion sire I Am Invincible on debut for the Archibald yard. He's trialled nicely in Sydney and should take beating. FASTOSO (4) hit the line strongly on debut at Seymour can improve with Damian Lane booked. DUKE ATREIDES (3) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Algorithmic to win.
