Strong tempo likely with several going forward, headed by Iron Will and Phutulicious. EL DANTE (10) was given a gun ride when winning his last start over 1600m on this course. The 8yo gelding takes a drop in class. He is likely to race from off the speed and will be mowing down the frontrunners. STAR IN MOTION (6) was an easy winner when shedding his maiden tag over this distance at Scottsville last time. He does take a rise in class, but has plenty of scope and should be well up to the task at hand. CARDINAL CHIEF (5) ran on strongly when winning his last start over 1200m at Scottsville. He is a horse who looks to have ability and can go close. RUN FOREST RUN (1) won his last start over this course and distance. He returns from a spell and jumping from pole position is worth considering.
