Despite the small field Okami Star, Delrico and Noises can set a strong tempo. CROSS TASMAN (2) well-bred Super Seth entire progressing well in his first prep. Sat on the speed with the 59.5kg when a narrow second over 1300m at Kembla Grange on a firmer surface. Will relish the extra trip and conditions from the low draw. Expected to bounce back with J Mac taking the reins. DELRICO (1) much better effort at his second run back over this track and trip when taking good ground off Galano to finish second. Has further improvement to come and can race closer. Leading player. OKAMI STAR (7) proven in the going and deep into his prep for this. Sat on the speed when a courageous third over 1600m in the Grafton Guineas. A repeat showing will see him prove hard to run down. ISLAND DREAM (3) shuffled back from the good draw on resumption before chipping away late with an even fourth over 1250m at this track. Comes to hand quickly and proven at the trip. Sharp Improver. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cross Tasman and Delrico to fight it out.
