Gee Force should be able to comfortably find the front. BALLINRAN (4) finished third in only his second start over 1700m at Awapuni on the poly track nearly 3 weeks ago. He was already looking for more ground that day, and will be spot-on for the 2200m test at his third career start. Hard to beat in this modest field. GEE FORCE (2) has been trying to win a race for some time, and raced too keenly over a mile here nearly a fortnight ago. If he can settle better over 2200m for the first time, then he is capable of taking this out. LIGHT OF PLUTUS (3) is very hard to catch and put in one of his better efforts when storming home to finish third here over this trip last start. If he can repeat that effort, he will be hard to hold out. AVIVA (6) challenged strongly for the win here 4 weeks ago and only missed the bob of the head when finishing runner-up by a nose. She is another who is overdue to break through for her first win. HONOKA (12) was fourth as favourite nearly 5 weeks ago at Awapuni, and that form is good enough for this. Each way. SUGGESTED PLAY: Ballinran has more upside than most in this, and is the one to beat.
