They should get along early on with plenty of speed on show. SOUTHERN HEIRESS (13) went nicely through her gears on debut when demolishing inferior opposition in good style over 900m at Newcastle. Will have little trouble with the extra trip and rain-affected conditions from the low draw. Gets her chance with Berry aboard. INFUSION (1) another who created a big impression on debut when stalking the speed for a comfortable victory over this track and trip in the heavy going. Doesn't get the same map favours today but looks to have plenty of upside. MAQUISA (11) at her top for this and capable of getting cover early from the draw. Chased hard in the conditions when second over this track and trip. Collett sticks and will be thereabouts. ETUDE (12) returned good closing splits on resumption when an eye-catching fourth from the wide draw over 1100m at Gosford. Gets a more economical run here and represents good each-way value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Southern Heiress to handle the class rise.
