Plenty of pressure from Captain Blue, Spin Diegoal and Dream Japan battling for the lead over Storm Lane. SPIN DIEGOAL (4) showed good pace over 2000m at Urawa last time and dug deep to score by 2 lengths. Should be prominent again from the low draw. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is good enough to take this out. PINO MAHANA (5) turned things around last start and landed the prize by a neck after being in contention on the bend over 1500m at Urawa. Meeting a deeper field this time but he deserves plenty of thought. CAPTAIN BLUE (2) showed good early muster and fought on to finish second last start over 1500m at this track. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is good enough to play a major role. CHACHA HATSU GO (8) scored last start at this track to make it two wins from three starts this campaign. Deserves respect.
