Reasonable tempo with Shannon's Legacy probably leading but a few others should keep her honest. Tough. SWITCHBLADE (2) resumed over shorter in a CL1 at Ipswich and needed the outing. He flies second-up and will appreciate the step up in distance. Maps for the run of the race, and he's good enough to take it out. SHANNON'S LEGACY (8) resumes and spaced the Ballina Maidens first up last preparation on a heavy track. She will be naturally improved and can control the race from an inside barrier. Allen is booked and rides the track extra well. EJAY'S FIREFOX (14) found her best Victorian form, winning a Toowoomba Maiden. There was plenty of merit in the effort, and she has scope for further improvement. She can settle closer today. PROPONENT (1) brings wins from Dalby and Goondiwindi and is also lightly raced. He'll skip over and ride the speed and is sure to give a sight. WANT TO BE PROUD (11) was heavily bet when winning a Maiden at Goondiwindi on the same day. It was overdue, and he may go on with it now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Switchblade.
