Solid tempo with Master Du Rouvray driving forward f, joined by Wonderful Tonight and Carnarvon pushing on from closer draws. GLOBAL WARRIOR (5) ran a fair race on debut over 1200m on this course last start and was then put out for a spell. He raced from a handy position and stayed on well at the finish. He would have gained from the experience and should love the rise to 1400m. Stable Jockey Tristan Godden is booked to ride and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat. MOHAVE PRINCE (4) showed good improvement when second over 1200m at Scottsville last time. He is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders. WONDERFUL TONIGHT (6) was running on well when fourth over this distance on the polytrack on debut last start. He would have come on from the run and if suited to the turf, he should be involved in the fight to the finish. CARNARVON (3) was outrun late as the favourite over this distance at Turffontein last time. He has a good draw of three and may be hard to peg back.
