Goodes, Island Tide and Hokusai all possess good speed. Competitive. AKAKA FALLS (1) was an easy winner this grade at Toowoomba, and he went close there following heavily backed in a 68. He's been kept on the fresh side, and an in-form 3kg claimer rides. Comes back 200m but is good enough to manage. UNO MOON (3) was well beaten by the above at Toowoomba 44 days ago but brought narrow provincial defeats to that. He will use the inside barrier, and a sharper effort is anticipated. PALAWA KANI (4) went back-to-back at Gatton 39 days ago and has scope for further improvement. She should be right in it. KAT CHINNA (5) is speedy and needed the first-up outing in stronger. He's won 2/6 second-up and will use the inside barrier. Up to this. GOODES (7) was on speed leading and winning a 60 at Gatton as expected. Has been briefly freshened, and the weight relief brings him into it. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Akaka Falls.
