Strong tempo assured from Esprit Gonzalez and Tombo leading the charge. TOMBO (3) gave a great sight last time over 1500m at this track when he raced up on the pace and fought on gamely only to be narrowly beaten. Tsubasa Sasagawa who has scored on him four times retains the mount. Should be in the finish. KASENO RAO (2) returns from a 12 weeks break after scoring three wins on end, the latest over 1500m win at this track. Kenji Okamura aboard again and should be in the finish. LUXE LEON (9) returns from a spell of three-and-a-half months and did win first-up last time in work over 1400m at Kasamatsu. One of the genuine hopes in the race. SOLIS REGALO (7) improved sharply last time out to score by one length over 1500m at this track four weeks ago. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
