Just a modest pace in store without noted speed runners engaged. THANKS GRANDPA (7) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 4 lengths into fourth. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. KYOEI NOVEL (4) is still a maiden after 12 starts. Managed to fill a minor placing at this track two starts back before finishing 12th over 1200m at this track last time. Should be in the mix. M O NINER (12) finds it hard to win but ran a strong race last time when beaten a neck into second over 1200m at this track. Winning rider Niihara Shuma sticks. Sure to be competitive. MAONO BREEZY (5) was below her best last start, but in this field, she can bounce back and figure in the finish at good odds.
