GOING: G(4)

DOUGLASS BLINDS & SECURITY SCREENS BENCHMARK 66 HANDICAP 1300m

Track: Good 4   Clouds (Max: 25)   Rail: +7m, +9m 950m-350m; Cutaway Applies. (Pent: 4.83)

Plenty of pace with Super Sprocket and Off Shaw leading from Spirits Burn Deep. DASHING RUPERT (13) was his first couple of starts on this track before being beaten at Warwick Farm prior to having a spell. He had an excuse after his last start and will be spot-on after a couple of tune-up trials. He has a handy draw and will be very hard to hold out fresh up. MOUNTAIN CHATTER (7) was narrowly beaten fresh up at Nowra when finishing third and filled the same position at Albury just over 2 weeks ago. Tommy Berry has picked up the ride, which is a good sign on this track, and the pair merits healthy respect. WAL'S ANGELS (10) had no luck last time out in a tougher field at Rosehill and gets his chance to make amends back in this easier company. Stick with him on an each-way basis. DYNAMIC ONE (3) was not beaten far in a tough field fresh up at Wagga 10 days ago and is well worth each-way consideration in this. SUGGESTED PLAY: Dashing Rupert to win.
