Genuine tempo from The Right Way leading My Pins.
RUSSIAN RONI (7) ran a respectable race in a BM78 at Canterbury two back then struggled in the Mudgee Cup last start over 1400m. Best form comes at the mile so back in this easier race he looks all set to return to form. YET HE MOVES (3) was enormous first-up at the Sunshine Coast then may have been a little flat second-up over the mile at Doomben last time. Carries 2kgs less back in midweek company. Big chance with any luck from the wide gate. Veteran EXPECTANT (10) didn't quite find the line as hoped at Doomben last start. Freshened up and is generally effective at this trip so watch for a much better run. MY PINS (14) strips fitter after two runs back from a spell and gets a little weight relief today so he can improve. SUPER CHILLED (13) won impressively at Ipswich last time and isn't out of place in this company. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Russian Roni.
