GOING: G(4)

GG ENGINEERING BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP 1000m

Track: Good 4   Clouds (Max: 25)   Rail: +7m, +9m 950m-350m; Cutaway Applies. (Pent: 4.83)

Strong tempo with Soho Artist, Sneaky Choice and Are Ee Que leading the way. SNEAKY CHOICE (5) came with a well-timed run to score on debut at Gosford in a 5-horse field. She cops a tougher draw second up in a bigger field but should continue to improve with racing, and she can take the next step immediately. ARE EE QUE (6) showed her preference for wet tracks when leading all the way to score on a heavy surface here 4 weeks ago. She has an extra 100m to travel but should still be hard to peg back. SCULPTOR (4) won his maiden here on a heavy track 2 starts back before finishing third at Nowra last time out. He has more to offer and has each-way claims again. BE QUIET (1) delivered as expected at Kembla Grange fresh up in maiden company and won't find this much harder. He cops a 4kg weight rise but is still a winning threat. IL PASSERO (3) won fresh up at Canberra in his first start as a gelding. Now that he is fully focussed on racing, he can double the dose. SERIAL OFFENDER (9) is resuming from a spell and is another with the scope to go on with the job. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sculptor each way.
