Good tempo expected with Grey Impact, Carpaccio and Simply Excels rolling forward.
CARPACCIO (1) returned over 1300m at the Gold Coast last start and did a good job to be beaten under a length in a BM65. Placed two from two when second-up and this slightly longer journey is to his advantage. Looks the one to beat. The lightly raced SIMPLY EXCELS (2) was first-up from a six-month lay-off when a game winner over 1200m at Ipswich four weeks ago. Open to plenty of improvement and the extra furlong looks a nice option. THAT'S ALL GOOD (17) gave away a big start but flew late to just miss in a busy finish over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast recently. That was her first run in four months so she is open to a stack of improvement, particularly out to this distance. The consistent RHUVAAL (4) grabbed a well-deserved maiden win over today's journey at the Sunshine Coast last start. Certainly good enough to cope with this class rise. SOUTH SEA (3) has been about the money at all three runs this prep and should be peaking today. SUGGESTED PLAY: Keen on Carpaccio.
