Anticipating a genuine tempo over the 1200m journey.
SINGLE HONOR (1) has a good record on this track and was close-up in third place at a recent picnic meeting here just over 5 weeks ago, albeit in a 5-horse field. His top weight is reduced by a 3kg claim, and he has winning claims again. VICTORY BAY (2) is resuming from a spell and usually comes to hand quickly. He will have to carry the top weight in this, but he is still capable of taking it out. Use the market as your best guide in this even contest. LADY MASQUERADE (9) won at a picnic meeting here at the beginning of last month by 5 lengths. She was third as favourite at Thangool last time out, and with 5kg less to carry this time, she will be among the hardest to beat again. YUBETIDO (5) is a handy locally trained gelding who has won fresh up in the past and would only need a wet track to be competitive fresh up in this. Watch closely. IMAGINE THAT (7) has been in terrific form recently and is perfectly placed again after a 3kg claim. Stick with her. Can win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lady Masquerade each way.
