Certain to be a strong tempo with Hakusan Selene, Pod Glass and The Big Man leading the charge. POD GLASS (5) went forward last start over 1400m at Urawa and held on well for third, beaten 5 lengths. Best figures measure up. Can bounce back to that form and he is a course and distance winner previously. IPPATSU GYAKUTEN (1) went back early from his wide draw over 1400m at Urawa last time but hit the line strongly to finish sixth. Sure to prove tough to stop. EXMEDI NO TSURUGI (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at this track, beaten 6 lengths into fourth. This is a nice drop in grade so she is a major player. COMBAT GRANDE (7) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish sixth, beaten 8 lengths, over 800m at Urawa. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and looks suited by the extra ground. Can play a role..
