Miss Teak is expected to lead at a strong tempo.
CARRARA KING (5) did not finish his run off at Rockhampton last time out after a solid effort for second here before that. He cops a decent draw and is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. SHY REBEL (4) made solid progress last spring and ended that campaign with a maiden win at Rockhampton over 1500m. She resumes over a trip that will be short of her best but is still likely to be running on strongly. Each way. HOLY CROWN (3) can't be faulted for her consistency and is having her first run on this track. She would prefer some cut in the ground and is a winning chance with conditions to suit. SHOALWATER BAY (2) failed to handle the kick-back off the Mt Isa surface when resuming from a spell and is worth another chance at his first start on this track. The pole position will also help. Stick with him. CASA FAGLIANO (6) needed her first run back from a spell at Rockhampton and generally improves with racing. Include in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: Shoalwater Bay each way.
