Khant Quit to take charge ahead of The Khan at a good tempo.
KHANT QUIT (3) has been very honest of late. Has been thereabouts at both runs since a dominant all-the-way win over this trip at the Sunshine Coast on 17 January. Will lead and prove very hard to catch. GUARDED OPTIMIST (2) put the writing on the wall last time out at the third run of the campaign, making up many lengths to grab second over this journey at the Gold Coast. Meeting a better field today but he is ready to peak and looks up to the task. FERINO (4) started favourite but gave away too much start when fourth over the mile at the Sunshine Coast recently. Looks ideally placed out to this trip at the third run of the prep. AROUND THE BUOY (5) didn't do a great deal at Ipswich last start but he strips fitter and will enjoy the slightly longer trip. BIKER (8) has been thereabouts at his last couple of nine furlongs. Each-way hope. SUGGESTED PLAY: Khant Quit to lead all the way.
