Genuine tempo with Saint Loft and Jonny Be Swift leading the way.
THE RIGHT REIN (1) has been facing far tougher fields lately and will notice the drop in grade here. He was beaten but not disgraced at Canterbury nearly 3 weeks ago, and after a handy 2kg claim, he is not too badly off at the weights in this. On top. FINE EXAMPLE (4) has not been at her best for some time but did win her only start on this track, and her best form has been over this trip. There will be no fitness queries this time, and a form reversal is on the cards. SEBASTIAN'S FLYER (5) ran on too late at Port Macquarie 8 days ago and will relish stepping up beyond 2000m for the first time. He is capable on his day and has each way claims in this. JONNY BE SWIFT (2) has needed both of his runs back from a spell and will enjoy racing over a middle distance third up for the first time this prep. Don't risk him. EVER WAS (6) has been thereabouts recently, and the key this time is having Keagan Latham back in the saddle. Include in all combinations. SUGGESTED PLAY: The Right Rein to win.
