Reasonable tempo with Ryu probably leading but a few others should keep him honest. BISHAMONTEN (3) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a third most recently over 1600m at this track when beaten 4 lengths. Great chance to find the winners' enclosure. DARK MODE (4) is putting together some solid results. Finished third at Funabashi two starts back then scored by a neck last time out over 2200m at Funabashi. Meets some better types this time, but another big run will not surprise. MARUKAN LANI (1) returns from the paddock after closing last prep with two consecutive wins, the most recent over 1800m at this track. Has a strong association with Masahiro Matsuzaki, who has been in the saddle for his last two wins. Has winning claims on best figures. FLYER TRUE (10) has not won for a long while. Last raced on January 13 when beaten at Chukyo Dirt over 1400m after he gave away a big start. Can feature in the finish with a drop down to NAR level.
