Plenty of pace from Calamity Fox, Magic Sorcerer and Set To Prophet primarily. Tough way to end the day. LORD OF THE SUN (5) has an okay record at this track and expect to see him race closer from the better draw. Back in trip when he warmed up late to run fifth over 1100m at Mudgee. Doesn't have to improve much to win this. MAGIC SORCERER (14) deep into the prep and gets a much better set-up for this. Plagued by wide gates at his last two runs and likely to push forward again and prove hard to catch. Each way. EN PRIMEUR (13) mare in form who looks well weighted with the claim despite drawing out. Motored late with a handy fourth over 1200m at Tamworth. Trip suits and will be attacking the line. ARDONAUGH (6) narrowly beaten two-back at Beaumont (Newcastle), and ready for the 1300m with the claim. Gets every chance from the soft gate. The chances don't end there. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lord Of The Sun each-way.
