Rainsitpours to take charge ahead of Brazen Diva at a good tempo. GYRA (8) failed narrowly second-up in a small contest over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle). Backs up quickly after failing to run the 1300m out with a poor eleventh over 1300m at Dubbo at her fourth run in. Distance suits and anywhere near her best can win this. BUNDORAN (1) first run for the new yard she closed off strongly in a decent race to finish second over 1000m at Scone. Fitter now and shouldn't be a Maiden for long. BRAZEN DIVA (4) took advantage of the low draw with a fighting on-pace third over 1200m at Port Macquarie. Hard fit for this and expected to push forward from the sticky gate. Each-way. OUR BOY TOM (7) handy gelding who strips fitter third-up and a win looks imminent. Solid first-up run when second over 1200m on January 22, then returned from a let-up over the 1000m with a battling fifth at Tamworth. Well drawn and not to be overlooked.
