Solid tempo anticipated with Always A Rainbow leading the way. ALWAYS A RAINBOW (10) justified the short price with a determined Maiden victory over 1720m at Grafton at just her third race start. Has the speed to get across from the sticky gate and will prove hard to hold out with further improvement. SONDER (5) trained locally and finds a winnable race. Kept fresh for this after backing up within the week for a narrow second over 2220m at Grafton. Regular rider hops back on and expected to go close. GRAN CABALLO (1) resumes from a lengthy break and now in the Patrick Cleave yard. Form in Victoria was sound and can surprise fresh with the one 1200m trial at Scone. Respect. ROCK THE MACHINE (4) proven at this trip and set to peak fourth-up. Came from last on the turn with a slashing fourth over 1420m at Grafton. Maps well and can lob into the stalking position here.
