He's in great form having won two of his past three, too strong on speed here last time out in a similar race as favourite, accounting for four rivals by a length. He sets up very similarly here and can repeat the dose. O CARA MIA (8) comes back in trip from an even run at Caulfield Heath last time out, fresh into this. She was in the market there and is worth respecting from the inside gate. OVERACTIVE (2) ran a solid race first up at Sandown Hillside behind a good one. He'll strip much fitter and can take catching. STANDARD DEVIATION (4) won on his Australian debut, holding out a talented horse in Federalist. Up to a mile should only suit better. BLAKMAX (1) next best. SUGGESTED PLAY: Phineas to win.
