Toiro should spear straight to the front of the small field. ASCOT MIYAGI (3) turned in a fine effort to win by half a length at today's track and distance when first-up from a break last start. Well placed and can repeat the dose. TOIRO (2) reunites with Sho Yoshii after scoring with ease over 1600m at this track last time. Has been in super form this time in work, finishing in the money at each of his three starts. Bold showing expected. RIKO HUGHES (6) resumes after a break of five-and-a-half months. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 1100m at Monbetsu to kick off last prep. Has ability and should be right in the finish. BABY THE ROCK (4) is resuming from a spell of four months and having his first run for the Masato Tanaka yard. Was in the placings when first-up from a spell last campaign at Monbetsu over 1100m. In the mix.
