Looking to Fast Thinker, Speed Rock and General Assembly as likely leaders in a solid speed battle. ZULU ANGEL (5) started at monster odds and turned his form around beaten 1L in the 2400m Launceston Cup. Jumped from an outside barrier and powered home from the back of the field. The barrier is a little kinder today and he can win holding that level of form. DISTRUSTFUL AWARD (1) finished a whisker behind the above in the Launceston Cup. Was just nudged out in the Hobart Cup prior and with average luck will go close. VINO NOVELLO (8) is an improving galloper stepping up to a staying trip for the first time. Won a 64 comfortably over 2100m last time and tumbles in weight. Draws to advantage and the leading hoop replaces the apprentice. Keep very safe. WINEGLASS BAY (2) wasn't too far away in the two Cups. May settle a bit closer today and is in the mix. GOLDEN PROPHET (7) can be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Zulu Angel appeals most.
