Bob The Horse has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. SO LONG AGO (6) took a long time to break the duck but made it two wins in succession last time out when she scored by 1.3 lengths over 1887m at this track. No reason she can't make it the hat-trick especially from the gun draw. HOLLY'S STAR (9) hit the frame two starts ago at Cranbourne but ran below par last time when seventh and beaten 9 lengths over 2500m at Pakenham. This is a sharp drop back in trip, but it is also a drop back in grade, so she goes in everything. SOUND OF JURA (1) has raced well above this class for much of the season including a couple of wins. Appreciated the drop back in grade to score last start but will have come on from that and can step up again up to this trip. AVONVIEW (11) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing fourth and beaten only 1.2 lengths over 1968m at Yarra Valley. Suitably placed so anticipating another bold showing. BOB THE HORSE (4) will give a sight on-speed, as he generally does. SUGGESTED PLAY: So Long Ago to win.
