Looks a keen contest with Girls Day Out and Caporetto pressing for the lead with Rapid Rock and Too Much Talk close at hand. SUPERFLUOUS (5) was good from the back first-up here a fortnight ago and drops in trip off that performance where he jumped favourite. Expecting him to be better for that run and he'll find this a lot easier. Pike remains in the saddle and with improvement expected, he can get back to winning ways. GIRLS DAY OUT (7) is knocking on the door of another win, finishing runner-up her past three. The form from her last start has already worked out well and Brad Parnham replaces the 4kg claimer. Ticks plenty of boxes and should get every chance. ANCIENT GUIDANCE (1) looks ready to strike third-up into the campaign after flying home from the rear of the field last time out. The slight rise in trip is a big tick and while he's expected to get back again, he should be doing his best work late. CHOUX SHOE (10) is hard to knock on recent efforts and has to be included. ROMMEL'S GODDESS (9) can play a role first-up on the back of a nice trial. SUGGESTED PLAY: Superfluous can win the last.
