Strong tempo assured with Bingo, Cannatonic and Vencedor rolling to the front. GOTTA GO EDDIE (6) raced from just off the speed over this distance at Scottsville last time, but found one too good on the day. That was his first effort as a gelding and he will strip much fitter. He meets the right field and if taking to the polytrack, he can shed his maiden tag. BINGO (2) was disappointing over 1000m at Turffontein last time. His penultimate run when second catches the eye. Rates well in this line-up as an each-way chance. SOVEREIGN COMMAND (8) should have finished a lot closer to the winner last time. He raced wide around the turn and hung inwards over the final 200m. Gavin Lerena rides and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him when it matters most. BLAST FROMTHE PAST (5) is a first-starter by One World from Bella Spumante who has been a prolific producer of winners. Promising type who can surprise.
