Expecting Applications to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. One for the stayers. VERMILION KIRIN (7) returned to the winners' stall at the latest effort and will have derived a stack of confidence from that well-deserved victory. Has a win and a second from two attempts over this track and trip and should be going very close again. TAREX (8) was too bad to be true last time out but go on the solid win over this course and distance two back. Certainly worth another chance. JUNGLE JET (6) is better than recent efforts suggest and a return to form would not surprise. Include from the low draw. NIPPA'S NIGHTCAP (12) gets 2kg off with the claim and can feature with any luck from the wide alley. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 7,8,6,12.
