Without much in the way of early speed it might be left to Haughty to take charge. HAUGHTY (10) came home with a rush as an odds-on favourite at Pukekohe 3 weeks ago when finishing runner-up by less than a length. The step up from 1500m to 1600m will be ideal, and she certainly deserves to break through. Follow your money. VOUGEOT (3) won the most recent of 3 trials this year on this track, and has been given plenty of time to mature. He is straight up over a mile, and the market will be an important guide. CHICFLIX (11) ran on stoutly late at Tauranga 10 days ago when finishing third. She will be peaking at the right time, and with an extra furlong being in her favour, she will be an each-way threat again. ALIENA (12) has needed both of her starts to date and will get better over more ground. Include. KING WILLIAM (7) is not the worst at huge value. SUGGESTED PLAY: Haughty should be the one to beat, but there is room for an upset.
