Tricky one to map with a number of debutants but over this trip there is good speed anticipated. MALLEABLE (4) put together a couple of sound runs in his first couple of starts of his career, and probably just lacked some strength. He was third in a recent trial here, and with Michael McNab sticking with him, he can take this out. PRESUMING (3) ended his initial prep with a third at Te Rapa just over 11 months ago. He has been given plenty of time to mature and looked ready to race when winning a recent trial on this track late last month. He benefits from a 4kg claim, and his first win is not far away. UNWRITTEN (12) is bred to revel in wet ground, and she won her only public trial here over 800m on a heavy surface. The market will be an important guide in this contest. SWISS PRINCE (15) won the latest of 3 public trials, and he hails from the in-form Stephen March stable. Watch closely. SUGGESTED PLAY: Presuming can offer some each-way value in a competitive field.
