Pace genuine with Nicely Played and Something Royal pressing hard closely followed by Boab Boy and Go Go Grommet. NICELY PLAYED (6) hasn't trialled since her latest effort in stronger company 129 days ago, though the booking of Parnham suggests she's ready to go first-up. She placed fresh in Saturday grade last campaign off a similar set up. The inside draw is a big tick and she'll take catching. CANNY CONI (9) will be fitter for a recent trial as she resumes over a distance short of her best. Her trial was sharp enough however and although she hasn't won for a little while, some sting out of the ground will suit. Can be in the finish. DESERT DANCING (10) settled back last start at Northam but got over the top to score in good order. Suspect similar tactics will be adopted today and he's right up to this if he can repeat his latest effort. SOMETHING ROYAL (8) can sit close to the speed from a favourable barrier and will give a bold sight. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nicely Played goes on top.
