Moana Gold to take up the running with Shamrock's Secret and Man Talk close at hand. MOANA GOLD (4) has been just behind the placings in two starts to date when in the betting on both occasions. Where there's smoke there's fire and strikes a very winnable contest here. Should be able to take a forward position from the low draw and is likely to play a major role in the outcome. Former Victorian SONECHKA (12) is having her first run for the new stable but should find this easier than what she faced down south. Respect any market confidence. MAN TALK (3) resumes from a lengthy spell but looked good winning a recent Gatton trial and a strong first-up showing would not surprise. DEEP TIARA (2) strips fitter second-up, draws favourably and gets 2kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. KURITHEA (5) is a very well-bred debutante who should be kept safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Moana Gold.
