A small field that lacks a pacemaker. BELLWOOD GRASS (6) started at $1.80 last time but could only manage fifth at this track over 1800m. Well placed and can atone for that last run. EARTH RISER (3) progressed nicely last time out at the second run of the campaign and finished just 0.8 lengths from the winner in second over 1800m at this track. Fitter third up and can give this a shake. CREW DRAGON (4) wound up strongly in the run home last start to register an impressive win over 1800m at this track. Brings the right form to this race so he is certainly one to consider. HASENO PYRO (2) was fifth over 2000m at this track four weeks ago. Worth noting Yamato Ishikawa goes aboard. No surprise to see him in the mix.
