Lotus has good gate speed and likely to set a genuine tempo with the advantage of the inside draw. VAINQUEUR SIEN (2) was beaten a neck into second at this track two starts ago then finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth last time at this track. Drawn for a good trail just off the pace. Best form stacks up nicely and deserves another chance. MAPLE PEER (9) improved last start to finish third over 1200m at this track after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. SNOW CANDLE (13) returns from a layoff of three-and-a-half months. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1600m at this track. Definite top-three chance. MOMOKO LARIAT (3) made progress last time out, finishing 4 lengths from the winner in second over 1200m at this track. Solid hope.
