SANDOWN-HILLSIDE   16 Jul 2025

GOING: S

Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap 1300m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 14)   Rail: Out 5m Entire Circuit.

Moderate pace with Savannah Chill taking up the running ahead of Poor Ol' Johny Ray and Cosmic Shower. EXIT (9) was well fancied on debut in the Blue Diamond Prelude, was always well back then in traffic throughout when not really tested. Tipped out and given another break but has been jumping out well and leading rider is booked. Can get off the mark in this easier company. SAVANNAH CHILL (2) was well in the market on debut on the Lakeside track and after stalking the pace loomed up and fought on bravely to score. Can only be further improved and on the fight shown on debut should feature again. LOPE DE LARDO (1) was solid fresh then off the mark with Williams aboard latest at Geelong. Jockey sticks and will be running on well again. EXPULSION (8) was close-up fresh at Flemington then well held despite finishing third latest. Senior goes aboard and on the city figure two back goes close. LIFE AFTER LOVE (7) was a dogged third over 1000m at Caulfield latest and looks ideally placed out in trip. Last two have been in city class so well suited here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Give Exit another chance.
