Goin' Skitz should lead and control the tempo.
FORT DENISON (2) broke through for an overdue maiden win here 2 weeks ago by a short-head as favourite. That was his first run over a true middle distance and looks to have a bright future in this role. There might be a slight query around a wet track but he is good enough to go right on with the job now. SILVER GODDESS (10) is bred to excel over a middle distance and steps up to 2000m for the first time this prep. She is still part of the Tony Gollan stable and is poised to show her true worth in this. Stick with her. LUMIERE (5) has been crying out for more ground and is expected to improve quickly now that he is up to a middle distance. Each way value and a form reversal would not be a surprise. DESHORENTE (8) has been runner-up in 4 of her last 5 starts and welcomes top hoop Justin P Stanley back to the saddle and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of this mare where it matters most. SUGGESTED PLAY: Silver Goddess each way.
